The 8 Haunted Scenes

Firstly, this year we've added a puzzle and riddle that our tour groups must solve.... at each major scene of horror, your guide will ask you to search for a painted or printed word clue.... once found, your guide will check it off from a list and when your group returns to the Dining Hall Gathering Place, you will collectively use the clues to solve the riddle!
But beware, there is much evil working against you to find the and secure the clues!

Werewolf / Witches Circle

Sometimes the witches can't contain their werewolves.

Clown Town

These sideshow freaks should never cross paths with humans.

Butcher Shop

Let's just say this butcher can carve up anything!

Insane Asylum

These creeps should never have escaped from the nuthouse!

Hell

Satan himself won't even set foot in here!

Baby Doll Nightmare

So many babydolls, each one angry that they have been brought back to life!

Chernobyl Nuclear Apocalypse

The human remains of a radioactive death.

Graveyard of the Damned

Our final forest trek ends for all those who trespass!

And scarecrows, clowns, creepy bride and so much more.

What to Expect!

Easy to moderate hiking required along this loop path which includes 6 haunted cabins and other scenes of horror!

Live ghouls may jump out from anywhere!

Sometimes the lighting and darkness may disorient...

Often you can't see what lies beyond the next turn...

Caution

Strobe lights, colored lights, spotlights and various lighting effects are in place throughout the trail and cabin / haunted houses.

Buffalo Gap Camp Store will be offering prepared foods and drinks

Local bakers and friends of Buffalo Gap will be offering baked goods for sale

Pre-Cautions and Good to Know

All attendees of the trail of horrors participate in the guided tour at their own risk when they purchase their tickets and do not hold Buffalo Gap Retreat or its partners responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur.
The trail of horrors is not handicap friendly.
Masks are required.... please bring yours.
The trail hike is rated mild to moderate endurance level although the pace will be relaxed.
Family not walking the trail can enjoy activities and fun at the lakeview dining hall.
You will be guided by a trail lead who will also help you locate hidden words at each scene of horror, that collectively, will form a puzzle question to help you solve a riddle.

Meet at the blue lakeview dining hall to buy a ticket and que up for the hike.
Small groups will be taken by trail guides -- one in front, one behind. Groups of 10 ideal, but smaller groups go into structures a few at a time.
