Sean was born and bred in Los Angeles, where he may still be found when the property shutters for the wintertime. Rockhounding, geology, lapidary, gardening, handicrafts, history, kayaking, and amateur photography are all interests, as is exploring, particularly off the beaten path.

Before joining Buffalo Gap Retreat, Sean enjoyed a 20+ year career in videogame publishing, working with many talented and accomplished teams, both domestically and abroad.

Looking for a change of pace, his latest (ad)venture brings him to Buffalo Gap Retreat as part-owner, and on-site manager. He views stewardship of the property, which is special to so many, as a sacred trust. He’s thrilled to have joined the team and hopes to further cultivate Buffalo Gap as a welcoming and natural refuge from the stresses of everyday life.

Rocky

 "Camp Dog"

Rocky hails from North Carolina where she was turned into a shelter as a stray.  She joined Geoff and Sharyn's family on October 31, 2020 via City Dog Rescue (her adoption application was submitted on our way to Buffalo Gap and the paperwork was approved on our way back from Buffalo Gap!)  Rocky's shelter name was Rochelle, but that name didn't fit her rambunctious personality and her propensity to box with other dogs.  Rocky is a lab mix with a passion for stalking deer, squirrels, moles, and mice.  If you meet Rocky at Buffalo Gap, she's super friendly but she might lick you furiously.  Her favorite snacks include broccoli, peanut butter, and salmon skin.
