Buffalo Gap Retreat is a three-season, rustic retreat located in the
panhandle region of West Virginia, two hours west of Washington, DC.
We offer the following to our guests: 26 rustic cabins & camping in an
abundant natural setting, 1/2 acre dog park, wood-fired sauna,
a 1.2 acre spring-fed pond (swimming, fishing, kayaks & canoes)
sand beach, hiking trails, a beautiful outdoor event pavilion
and bar/restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating.​

Cook / Line Cook
(part or full time, seasonal)
​​Seeking a cook or line cook who would like to work in a friendly and collaborative environment. This employee will be involved in all aspects of food planning, preparation, and cooking in our commercial kitchen. This role involves creating menus for our weekend cafe and catering events, taking into consideration factors such as costs and dietary needs. This person will also assist with planning, inventory tracking, and purchasing. Must observe all policies and procedures of safety and sanitation according to OSHA and health code standards.

Cafe Server (Front of House)

Seeking part time front of house help for our cafe and catering services. This role is a primary liaison between the kitchen and our customers. This employee will be responsible for guest interaction, order management and delivery, customer payments and point-of-sale management, event setup & breakdown, cleaning, and general compliance with health and safety regulations.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. Your hard work will make a difference in creating a welcoming environment for our guests. Weekly hours are variable, depending on retreat occupancy and events. Training available.
Event Staff
(part time, temporary)
Seeking part time temporary help to support weekend cafe and catered events. Duties may include customer service, food and drink preparation, inventory management, and cleanup. Friendly and collaborative working environment. Experience a plus, but not required. Training available.

Seeking WV Licensed Massage Therapist to work at our Spa as an independent contractor.​
Camp Host / Work Camper
(part time, seasonal)
Seeking Camp Host/Work Camper for our 2026 season (May - October).
Part time effort of 20 hours per week in exchange for a dry RV / Camper site (sub 30 feet).
Electrical hookup available. You would be granted access to on-site bathroom, shower, and laundry facilities. Fiber optic wifi internet access available. Recreational access to property and amenities is available as schedule and retreat occupancy allows.

Summer Paid Internship

​​Buffalo Gap Retreat, located just west of Winchester in Capon Bridge, WV, is seeking an internship candidate to work with our management team in all aspects of marketing and hospitality management.
​
The ideal candidate is someone who wants hands-on experience in all aspects of running a business. Compensation based on 20 hours per week at $215 per week.
